These Terms of Purchase (“Terms”) govern your purchase of products (including shoes, flats, and clothing made with natural materials like merino wool and eucalyptus) from Allbirdo (“we,” “us,” or “our”) through our website www.allbirdo.com (“Site”). By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and any other applicable policies posted on our Site. Please read these Terms carefully before completing your purchase.
1. Order Placement and Acceptance
1.1 Order Submission
When you place an order on our Site, you are making a binding offer to purchase the selected products at the price displayed (including any applicable taxes). All product prices on the Site are listed in United States Dollars (USD), and all transactions will be processed in USD.
1.2 Order Confirmation
After submitting your order, you will receive an automated email acknowledging receipt of your order (the “Order Acknowledgment”). This email does not constitute acceptance of your order—we will send a separate “Order Confirmation” email once we have verified your payment, confirmed product availability, and processed your order for shipment. Acceptance of your order is final only when we send the Order Confirmation.
1.3 Order Modifications or Cancellations
We reserve the right to modify or cancel your order at any time before shipment (a) if products are out of stock or unavailable; (b) if there is a pricing error or discrepancy on the Site; (c) if we suspect fraudulent activity or a violation of these Terms; or (d) for other legitimate business reasons. If we cancel your order after you have made payment, we will issue a full refund to your original payment method within the timeframe outlined in Section 4.
You may request to modify or cancel your order only if we have not yet shipped it. We cannot guarantee order modifications or cancellations once shipment has begun.
2. Shipping and Delivery
2.1 Processing and Shipment Timelines
We strive to process and ship all orders promptly. After your order is confirmed (via the Order Confirmation email), we will initiate shipment within 1–3 business days. “Business days” exclude weekends and major holidays (e.g., Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s Day).
2.2 Delivery Timelines
Once your order ships, delivery will take approximately 6–12 business days to reach its destination. This delivery timeline applies to all orders, regardless of the shipping location (domestic or international). We do not offer expedited or 加急配送 (express shipping) at this time.
2.3 Shipping Costs
Allbirdo offers free global shipping on every order, with no minimum purchase requirement. There are no additional shipping fees or surcharges for domestic or international deliveries—this is included in the product price listed on the Site.
2.4 Delivery Responsibilities
We will provide a tracking number via email once your order ships, allowing you to monitor the status of your delivery. While we work with reliable shipping partners to ensure timely delivery, we are not responsible for delays caused by: (a) customs processing (for international orders); (b) carrier errors, inclement weather, or other unforeseen events beyond our control; (c) incorrect or incomplete shipping information provided by you (e.g., wrong address, missing apartment number). If your order is returned to us due to invalid shipping information, you may be required to pay additional fees to re-ship the order (unless the error was caused by us).
3. Returns Policy
3.1 Eligibility for Returns
You may return any unused, unworn, and undamaged products (with all original tags, packaging, and accessories intact) for a full refund or exchange within 60 days of the delivery date. Products that are used, washed, damaged, or missing original packaging/tags are not eligible for returns.
3.2 How to Initiate a Return
To start a return:

- Our customer service team will respond within 1–2 business days with a return authorization number (RA#) and detailed instructions for shipping the product(s) back to us.
- Package the product(s) securely, include the RA# on the outside of the package, and ship the return to the address provided by our team.
3.3 Return Shipping Costs
We do not cover return shipping costs unless the return is due to a mistake on our part (e.g., wrong product shipped, defective item). For all other eligible returns, you are responsible for paying the shipping costs to send the product(s) back to us. We recommend using a trackable shipping method, as we are not liable for returned items that are lost or damaged in transit.
4. Refund Policy
4.1 Refund Eligibility
Refunds will be issued only for products that meet the return eligibility criteria outlined in Section 3.1, and only after we have received, inspected, and confirmed that the product(s) are unused, undamaged, and in their original condition.
4.2 Refund Timelines
Once we approve your return, we will process the refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The time it takes for the refund to appear in your account may vary depending on your payment provider (e.g., credit card issuers typically take 2–5 additional business days to post refunds).
4.3 Refund Amount
Refunds will be issued for the full purchase price of the product(s) (in USD), excluding any return shipping costs you paid (unless the return is due to our error). We do not refund any original shipping costs (though we offer free shipping on all orders, so this will not impact your refund amount).
5. Product Availability and Descriptions
We make every effort to ensure that product descriptions, images, colors, sizes, and prices on the Site are accurate and up-to-date. However, we do not guarantee that all information is error-free—occasional discrepancies (e.g., typographical errors, color variations due to screen settings, size chart inconsistencies) may occur. We reserve the right to correct any errors, update product information, or discontinue products at any time without prior notice.
If a product’s actual features differ materially from the description on the Site, your sole remedy is to return the product in accordance with our Returns Policy (Section 3).
6. Payment Terms

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your purchase shall not exceed the total amount you paid for the affected product(s).
This limitation of liability does not apply to damages caused by our gross negligence, willful misconduct, or violations of applicable law (e.g., damages resulting from a defective product that causes personal injury).
8. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your purchase (including the breach, termination, or validity of these Terms) shall first be resolved through good-faith negotiation with our customer service team (via [email protected]). If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, it shall be submitted to binding arbitration in San Francisco, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association (AAA). Arbitration awards shall be final and binding on both parties.
